Solution overview
The internet has now spread densely across the globe, reaching almost every developed and developing country. At the same time, because of geography and other factors, some areas still have no internet at all, since laying transport cable is difficult — mountainous regions, islands and remote countryside.
Today's wireless transport technologies are the ideal answer to these difficulties and could hardly resolve them better. Long-range Wi-Fi transport in place of telecom cabling, acting as the network backbone, is one of the most useful approaches: it combines advanced technologies that keep breaking through distance limits and provide wide bandwidth without being affected by physical conditions.
The solution helps ISPs and telecom providers deliver internet signal to residential areas where infrastructure is difficult, and can equally be applied in other fields such as defence, military and public security.
Solution highlights
Outstanding link distance
The very high 1000 – 2000 mW output of the WiCell Super Bridge range, paired with dedicated high-gain antennas, delivers signal reach and links of more than 30 km.
TDMA technology
TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) is a time-division access technology that creates fixed time slots on point-to-point and point-to-multipoint channels for each user, keeping their data flowing smoothly and steadily.
Easy to deploy and expand
From the internet or telecom provider, service can be extended to many sites and areas in a point-to-point pattern (between the ISP and one customer) or point-to-multipoint (between the ISP and many customers) with no cable runs, and installation is quick.
Very large connection bandwidth
The transceivers work across the wide 4.9 to 5.8 GHz band and combine it with the 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard, giving more than 500 Mbps between two points — enough for many users sharing a single backbone link.
