Cause
Central cloud management of Wi-Fi equipment is now used by every Wi-Fi manufacturer. But that management extends only to the functions already present in the control software, operated by an administrator.
The problem is that while they are running, Wi-Fi units are affected by other Wi-Fi around them — signal conflicts causing intermittent connections, and so on. Or the internet link fails and the Wi-Fi cannot reach the central management system, at which point the units stop working or revert to unconfigured defaults.
Adding parameters or functions to suit a project's requirements while it is running also calls for updates — particularly on smart city projects.

Wicell APs connect to the central system (AI Cloud-Managed Controller) to report the surrounding Wi-Fi environment and the AP's own network parameters. Having analysed them, the AI algorithm sends optimal settings back to the AP.
- AP control commands are issued by the system administrator.
- Commands that tune operating parameters or add functions are set by the AI algorithm.
This process repeats on a regular cycle throughout the AP's operating life.
